Street Soccer Scotland Gala nets £143,000

The annual Street Soccer Scotland 2021 Gala Dinner has raised more than £143,000 in an evening of food, drinks and inspiring stories.

Guests were dressed to impress at the glittering event at the Doubletree by Hilton on Thursday evening (October 28th), including Ludo and our Primal Wellness marketing team.

We were joined by our friends at the DRG Group for the charity event which focussed on The Power of Sport, shining a light on the impact it can have in communities.

Hosted by Des Clarke and Emma Dodds, glamorous gala guests were treated to a night of entertainment with special guests Harry Redknapp and Andy Robertson joining to share tales from the industry, with impressionist Darren Farley and Scots singer songwriter Callum Beattie also taking to the stage.

Speaking of the event, Ludo said: “We were delighted to support the Street Soccer Scotland 2021 Gala Dinner.

“Ludo’s Primal Wellness has long been a supporter of Street Soccer Scotland and it was wonderful to join such an inspiring event.

“From my experience as a footballer I know first hand the power sport can have not only at a professional level but also within the community.

“Not only is it a great way to stay active, it helps to teach vital life skills and offers the opportunity to connect with others and build new relationships. The programmes run by Street Soccer Scotland play an important part in helping keep communities healthy and boost spirits throughout the year.”

All funds raised from the event will be reinvested into Street Soccer Scotland’s grassroots programmes as the charity continues to deliver life-changing schemes and projects across Scotland.

Through empowering player stories, it hopes to help raise awareness and continue to support those experiencing social isolation, homelessness or struggling with their mental health.
